A high-energy reflex game that tests speed and coordination, pulls crowds from across the event floor, and keeps participants competing all day. The activation that creates its own audience.
High energy reaction game
Perfect for busy events
What it is
Reaction Game is a high-energy reflex game where players tap targets on screen as quickly and accurately as possible within a time limit. The system tracks speed and accuracy, generating a score that feeds into a leaderboard. Rounds run 15-30 seconds — fast enough to allow rapid participant turnover, competitive enough to make everyone want to play again.
It's the highest-energy game on the platform. Crowds gather to watch, competitors call over their friends, and the leaderboard keeps people coming back throughout the day. Fast, competitive, and perfect for busy event environments where you need an activation that generates its own momentum.

15-30 Seconds per round
Ideal for high-volume event environments
How it works
Step 1: Player Steps Up
The game displays a countdown and a branded start screen. The player positions themselves in front of the screen — the physicality of the game creates natural crowd-watching moments.
Step 2: Tap the Targets
Targets appear on screen at random positions. The player must tap each target as quickly and accurately as possible before it disappears. Speed and accuracy both contribute to the final score.
Step 3: Score and Leaderboard
The round ends after 15-30 seconds. The player's speed and accuracy score is displayed and compared to the leaderboard. Competitive players immediately want to go again.
Step 4: Lead Capture
Players enter their details to save their score to the leaderboard and claim prize eligibility — captured automatically into the PlayHive dashboard.

Is Reaction Game suitable for all age groups?
Yes. The mechanic is immediately intuitive for any age — tap the targets as fast as you can. Difficulty can be adjusted to suit your audience, making it accessible for family events and sufficiently challenging for competitive adult audiences.
Can we adjust the difficulty level?
Yes. Target speed, size, frequency, and round length are all configurable. Set an easier configuration for family-friendly or all-ages events and a harder version for competitive or youth-focused activations.
How does the leaderboard work across a full event day?
You can run a cumulative leaderboard across the full event day, reset between sessions, or run separate competitions across multiple event days. Prize announcements at the end of the day or event work particularly well with this format.
Does Reaction Test work as a two-player or head-to-head format?
The current format is single-player with leaderboard competition. Head-to-head formats create strong crowd energy — talk to our team if this is a priority for your activation.
